Tír na nÓg were an Irish folk duo formed in Dublin in 1969 by Leo O’Kelly and Sonny Condell. They were often considered one of the first progressive folk bands and are often compared to other artists like Nick Drake or bands like Pentangle. Now available again: The NEURONIUM albums of the Harvest catalog
The band signed up in 1977 with famous British label HARVEST created by EMI in 1969 to market progressive rock music and at that time already had well-known artists like Barclay James Harvest, Deep Purple, Pink Floyd or Kevin Ayers under contract. Moosicus releases historic Marion Brown Live-Album
On April 28, 2023 Moosicus will release a live album by legendary American alto saxophonist, composer and ethnomusicologist Marion Brown (1931 – 2010).
From 1962 Brown worked with musicians such as Alan Shorter and Archie Shepp, who also became his mentor. Brown also participated in Shepp’s album “Fire Music”, John Coltrane hired Marion Brown in the summer of 1965 for the recording of (more…)
STEAMHAMMER and NASH ALBERT on the nomination lists for the Grammy – award ceremony
Big joy and tension for Steamhammer and Nash Albert. The Recording Academy put both artists with their current releases on the proposal lists for the Grammy awards in the forthcoming year. S.A.W. and M.i.G. agree on cooperation
The four electronic musicians of S.A.W. and M.i.G. will collaborate in the future. Label and musicians met on a beautiful autumn day in Hitzacker at the river Elbe in Lower Saxony in Johannes Schmölling’s Red Kite Studio to seal the collaboration and signing contracts. S.A.W. had finished the production of their new album “Hydragate” and handed over the final mastering to M.i.G..
