The new Andreas Vollenweider Album “Live At Rockpalast 1982″ enters the german album charts on number #82. In the swiss charts Vollenweider was able to get the #68 spot.
The long lost and never before seen recording was released September 20th, 2024 on CD/DVD, vinyl and digital.

On August 29, 1981, Southern rockers 38 Special entered the stage of the open-air theater high above the Rhine on Loreley Rock. The Outlaws, Nine Below Zero and Thin Lizzy were in the festival line-up that day as well. Anne Clark, the British poet, singer, songwriter and grand dame of Dark Wave, is going on tour in Germany again. From 31st. May to 10th. June 2023 she travels across the country. Some of the concerts are already sold out. In November, the European tour will continue with another 12 dates in Germany, including a double concert at the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg. In (more…)
In the 1970s, the Berlin based rockgroup Karthago achieved great successes and “belonged to the elite of the German rock scene” (Hamburger Abendblatt). Foreign music magazines, like “Sounds UK” or “New Musical Express” expressed similar views, calling Karthago “The best German rock band of the 70’s” (NME). Started in 1976 as a Deep Purple cover band, the four Northern Irish school friends, singer and guitarist Jake Burns, guitarist Henry Cluney, bassist Gordon Blair and drummer Brian Faloon, discovered punk in 1977. It was the idea of Peter Bursch (founding member and leader of the German Krautrock legend Bröselmaschine), to put together an illustrious crowd of popular musicians and to organize a Jimi Hendrix Rockpalast Tribute concert in 1991, twenty years after the death of one of the most influential guitarists in rockhistory.
