It reads like a fairy tale. Ev Kriegel found in her husband’s estate many tape boxes with partly unreleased music by Volker Kriegel from his various creative phases. The first idea was to make these treasures audible again only for private use in the circle of friends. The soul record by italian DJ Fabio Puglisi and texan vocalist/saxophonist Jay Nemor has been in stores for a little over a month, and critics are abuzz. MUDDY WATERS in seventh place on the American Billboard Blues Charts!
Today, McKinley Morganfield would have been better known as Muddy Waters, now turning 105. If the American blues icon had made it to this biblical age he would have had two reasons to be celebrating today: the Muddy Waters Bluesband made it into the US Billboard Charts again! MIG Music and Soul Basement set final seal on cooperation
The Italian keyboarder and songwriter Fabio Puglisi as well as the Texan singer and saxophone player Jay Nemor are the heart of the soul/ jazz crossover band SOUL BASEMENT. The first releases of MIG’s new jazz label Moosicus: Albert Mangelsdorff, Atom String Quartet and Leon Redbone
The administrative essentials are completed, and finally, it is all about the music again. The series of historic recordings from the archives of the NDR which have been released by Moosicus titled “NDR 60 Years Jazz Edition“, will be continued as “NDR Jazz Edition“.

Moosicus GmbH taken over by MIG Music
Moosicus had been founded in 2012 by Michael Becker and Andreas Thran, both responsible for the Imagion AG and BOB Design from Trier, as well as Grammy winner and producer Joachim Becker.
